JimmyMiexle Saw this show for FREE! Drove 5 hours to freeze and not finding any tickets from scalpers that were not way way overpriced. Anyways my friend and I we would try one more time and drive back to Indiana if no luck graced us. There were 12-20 locals and us trying to find tickets after we open U2 / The Waterboys Jan 07, 2025

jtkerry This is a recollection my fist concert. I was 9 years old, and my dad put me and my 8 yr. old sister in the car and we drove through snow for well over an hour to get somewhere. We pulled up to a corrugated metal building and went in. It was a concert. I remember the opener was Sha Na Na (every kid knew them back then), and then seeing a man dressed in feathers at a piano in the middle of the stage. The music was good. And I didn't know who he was at the time. My question to anyone is - Is this the show I am remembering? I was so young, but it is in the right timeframe for what I am remembering and we lived in South County St. Louis at the time. The drive and the building kind of match my memory. But, the opener isn't listed, so I'm not sure. Elton John Jan 06, 2025

MYRYM What a show. The Scorpions opened as an unannounced special guest after their first US hit. Second up was AC/DC, who was just becoming a big name in Ohio and soon to be internationally. Then Thin Lizzy featuring one of the all time greats, Gary Moore, on guitar. Journey was next, then Aerosmith and Terrible Ted. It closed the 70s as one of the most chaotic rock concerts of the decade. AC/DC / Aerosmith / Journey / Scorpions / Thin Lizzy / Ted Nugent Jan 05, 2025
MYRYM Of Note: This was the first tour with Gary Moore replacing Brian Robertson due to a bar fight injury. Gary also played with them at the World Series of Rock in Cleveland that summer. Nazareth / Thin Lizzy Jan 05, 2025
