 Timothy O'Halloran Saw Neil Young a few weeks before this concert. He did not play the songs Alabama or Southern Man. But when Lynyrd Skynyrd Sang Sweet Home Alabama at this show it pot a smile on my face. Only because I had just enjoyed a great concert that Neil Young & Crazy Horse put on in Madison, Wi a few weeks before, Lynyrd Skynyrd put on a fantastic show for their fans in Wisconsin. They rocked Milwaukee from start to finish. It was my first concert experience that featured a band playing "Southern Rock".  Jason Worthley [show #134] Slayer's final tour and it was phenomenal! I sure will miss them, but they deserve retirement. Never thought I'd cry at a Slayer concert, but when Tom Araya's paced the stage at the end, just taking it all in, and finally his voice cracked as he said goodbye...I couldn't take it. Testament and Anthrax were great of course. Anthrax came out playing the beginning of Cowboys from Hell in honor of newly deceased (may he rest in peace \m/) Vinnie Paul. And they ended their set playing the end of Cowboy's. It was great. Lamb of God was awesome. Napalm Death is not really my type of death metal, but they were good.  Jason Worthley [show #135] The main thing that ticked me off about the venue is that they had a gated section for 21+, which is usually fine, only here, on the 2 second stages, they actually gated off 1 of the stages, so because I was with my nephew, we couldn't even go up close to the stage for the bands we wanted to see over there. Idiotic! Aside from that, Powerman 5000 was good, still very much full of energy. They deserve to be on the main stage--I don't know where their fame went. Hollywood Undead was really good, too. Emmure, as well. Kind of a heavy rap type band. On the main stage (we decided to upgrade our tickets from Lawn to Pit for only $20 more, and it at least got us out of the sun most of the time. C.O.C was good, and I spotted Zakk Wylde on the side of the stage watching the show. Trivium and Gojira got the crowd pumped. Trivium are a good live band. BLS was great. Zakk played a long solo with his guitar on his shoulder, behind his head. Came down and played most of it between the center divider, finishing on stage using his mouth. Avenged Sevenfold were supposed to be headlining, but the singer got sick. Prophets of Rage backed out because they were touring with AS. But...Three Days Grace decided to make the trip so that was cool of them, they were cool. Chevelle took AS's place and they've played better shows. It was a little disappointing.  Jason Worthley [show #143] Oh, man! I never thought I'd be able to see Pantera on stage again. With Phil and Rex the only surviving members (RIP Dimebag and Vinnie!!), it was more than okay to get Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante to fill the roles. It was a great show and great time. I so wish I could have been in the pits for this one. Lamb of God put on a great show as well, as they always do. King Parrot had some good music but I just wasn't digging the vocals. Too screechy for my taste. Could have been good with lower vocals, like Hatebreed. Carnivora was that band playing on the side as we walked in, and again on the way out. Female singer with some heavy pipes. They were pretty good. George and Tabitha were at the show, and apparently lots of people from work were there. Can't wait to see Pantera again.
