 nevillution I was there too. People were pulling up tarps over the baseball field to get out of the rain. After almost 2hrs of waiting for the next band (Warrant) the Metallica fans had enough! "Warrant sucks! Warrant go home!" was the chant. After Metallica, Aerosmith put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. Steven Tyler was FIRED UP knowing he was going on after Metallica.  Metmurph Whitesnake absolutely sucked. The keyboardist kept playing the wrong songs. Coverdale started ripping on him the second time it happened.  Ashturkla I have been trying to remember when I saw Jeff Beck in North Carolina during the early 1970’s. As I remember the floor seating was over an ice rink and you had to walk out to floor seats on a wooden pathway over the ice. (Funny things to remember). I remember being blown away by Jeff Beck and to this day believe it was the best rock show that I’ve ever seen. Thanks for clearing up my addled timeframe and location for this show.
