Georges A. Gauthier Tom Odell delivers live. His voice, his long note held for dramatic effect, the piano. He delivers. Osheaga Jour 3 2023 Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Julia Jacklin was a pandemic cancellation. I saw her do a drop-in with Weather Station but was looking forward to a real show finally. Amazingly her voice is better live, warmer & fuller. Also, she rocks surprisingly hard. I love it when it’s worth the wait Osheaga Jour 3 2023 Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier A great live set requires great songs but is also a craft unto itself built on timing, pace and shear energy. Like a freight train, Foals are an Unstoppable, kinetic force of rock that slam into you, pick you up for a ride and don’t stop for anything Osheaga Jour 3 2023 Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Japanese Breakfast beams, glows, radiates. She smiles the whole time, her great band include a sax, violin and gong keep it eclectic and fun. Positive energy ebbs from the stage, carried on her fairy voice and flows right back from the crowd. Osheaga Jour 3 2023 Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier A criminally small clutch of fans were present to drink in the lush set by @saintseneca at Turbo Haus. Undeterred, they played a sensitive & energetic set, altruistically giving more than they received. Fantastic musicians (they sounded amazing) but truly consummate performers Saintseneca Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Beginning acoustic, then expanding into a rich 9 piece band, flowing in the 1st half through i/o his voice is still sumptuous. Thoughtful descriptions of new songs & maximalist interpretations of old, he played for more than 2 1/2 h. What a legend. Peter Gabriel Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Black Country, New Road @ Le National did nothing for me. Intellectually satisfying, they sounded just like their albums, but it did nothing for me emotionally. Black Country, New Road / Daneshevskaya Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Popul put out a fun album last year so I went to see then @ Pop Montreal @ the Rialto. I was just too tired for a dance show. Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Laurence-Anne launching her new album @ Sala. It was performative & cool. She sounded great & the new music doesn’t disappoint. Laurence-Anne Oct 24, 2025
peebee Al Steward played in Trinity College in February 1974. Trinity College Dublin Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Belle Orchestre by a full moon and warm autumn night under the open sky of Depot77. It was charming. Belle Orchestre Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier A band, a show, family can be so much more than the sum of its parts. After a long hiatus, @karkwa_ still shine as more than its talented parts. In Brussels, it all transcended the great music, intimate venue & the best family/fans. This is a show, an experience, never to forget Karkwa Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier I brought Erin to see Karkwa at MTelus. Same set as in Brussels a few months before, completely different vibe. Thousands of fans, 4 day residency. Yet it remained intimate & familial in its own way. They literally brought all their kids on stage. Karkwa Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Haley Heynderickx was beyond charming. Beggaring belief, she sounded better live than recorded & I’ve never seen such adorable humility. When we cheered her first song she looked behind her empty stage to see if someone else was there Tim Baker / Haley Heynderickx Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Tim Baker was masterful, switching between instruments effortlessly he filled the stage with sound and charm. To my delight he also covered/reinterpreted some old Hey Rosetta! Songs. On a personal note, went with Papa which was extra special Tim Baker / Haley Heynderickx Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier Though less polished than the tapestry of their latest, most excellent album, there’s no denying the kinetic force of their layered live performance. It makes the music less of an intellectual delight, eliciting instead a visceral, emotional response. Squid / Water From Your Eyes Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier It’s ramshackled garage rock, but they’re also honest and confessional. Like board formed concrete, rough around the edges but you can see every grain and the texture is beautiful. Palehound / Chris Farren Oct 24, 2025
Georges A. Gauthier The trio was accompanied by an extraneous drummer which did not help. They looked like they were more concerned with looking the part than playing the part. There was no authenticity, no feeling. The paper cut out of an Appalachian folk band. Ruby Creek Oct 24, 2025
jaydenlynn hey my mom was here, she doesn't remember trapt or smile empty soul either she got there late or she was just drunk Trapt / Three Days Grace / Smile Empty Soul Oct 24, 2025
