Chandra Oppenheim is the daughter of American conceptual artist Dennis Oppenheim who was well acquainted with the artists and musicians of the late 70's Lower East Side. Her father’s students Eugene Diserio & Steven Alexander, were already active in the new wave scene as The Dance (From the ashes of The Model Citizens) and Chandra joined the band as the vocalist at the age of 10. When she turned 12, She recorded her first EP under her name, with The Dance in 1980.
These are photos from concerts where Chandra played, so they may be of other bands that played the concert as well.
