T‑Set burst onto the idol scene as the crown jewels of Osaka Talent, a Kansai-based entertainment agency secretly run by the yakuza-linked Naoki Katsuya. Comprised of the confident Mai Sanada and Azusa Osawa, the duo was prepared to dominate the televised Princess League idol competition against Haruka Sawamura, the star idol from their previous agency. Their polished routines and vocal prowess were touted as superior—with Haruka being compared unfavorably to them in early rounds.
