Zero for Conduct was born out of a need to play music by three friends. Stephen offhandedly remarked at a party at Toby's house, I'm going to get a bass and learn to play it like Peter Hook from New Order. Ryan already knew how to play his guitar, and when his former project The Cryptids split, he started jammin' with the nascent bass player Stephen. After some serious drum sessions of Rock Band, Toby was ready to accept the challenge of the drums, and Zero For Conduct was born in their Secret HQ in Austin, TX.
