Richard Edkins Aphex Twin was great at this, although was really weird set up. Organic 97. Promoted as outdoor rave, was moved to what I remember was more like an industrial estate (National Orange Show in San Bernardino*). Main warehouse/ hall was really echoey as not many people attended as they thought. * checked info at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_Music_Festival Aphex Twin Aug 25, 2026
Pat L Chill show. Alison's voice wasn't spot on but her tone continues to be amazing; I wonder how her recent voice health issues continue to impact her. Instrumental uptempo songs worked best. It was fun hearing her introduce band members who have played together for 38 years. Weather was great, - dark clouds rolled in late, but no rain.  MikePWeiner AI Overview Me First and the Gimme Gimmes played an infamous post-game concert at PNC Park on August 24, 2006, where the punk cover band was largely booed by a confused crowd of Pittsburgh Pirates fans. What Happened at PNC ParkThe Context: The band performed following a Pirates fireworks and Skyblast night after a win.The Crowd: Dressed in Pirates jerseys, the group played fast, punk-rock renditions of classic pop and soft-rock staples by artists like Neil Diamond. The Reaction: A large portion of the 32,000 attendees failed to grasp the band's ironic, comedic approach to classic anthems and met the performance with heavy booing and silence broken only by fireworks. The Local Connection: Frontman and singer Spike Slawson actually grew up in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood, making the rough reception a bizarrely hometown gig.
