 Dan Rodgerson 38 Special sounded much stronger live than I expected, with great production, strong musicianship, and a set packed with songs I recognized even as a casual fan. A few moments dragged, but overall they proved those Southern rock classics still hold up extremely well.  Dan Rodgerson Seeing Men at Work from the front row at Red Butte Garden was a great dose of ’80s nostalgia. The music still sounded strong, but I felt the show missed a few opportunities with audience engagement, pacing, and visual presentation.  JG Muller Concert en appartement. Très bon set de Jonathan Poliart, de belles nappes ambient infusées de dub, non pas par la basse ou l’écho mais par l’ajout de traits au mélodica. Enveloppant, confortable. Plochingen propose lui des soundscapes infusés de field recordings et de sons trouvés, avec des accents cinématographiques mais sans être lyriques. Ce sont des agrégations et transformations d’éléments du quotidien, avec aussi ce qu’on peut y trouver de frustrant, de gris, de pas beau. Une invitation à écouter les sons de la ville et de la vie. La soirée se termine avec Half Asleep en duo (Valérie Leclerq et Claire Vasseur – notons la syllabe qui se répète).  JG Muller Un concert intéressant même si la formule sax-batterie est par moment un peu aride. J'ai aussi eu l'impression que les deux musiciens délivraient leur prestation en étant bien rodés, sans prendre de risque. Le hoogtepunt de la soirée était la projection au préalable d'un concert de Coltrane en quartet à Comblain-La-Tour, très bien réalisée avec de nombreux gros plans sur les mains et les visages de musiciens.
