JimP None of you remember Great White not showing up? I went to Ft.Wayne earlier & wasn't going to go but I did to see Badlands. They played a few extra songs. I believe Jack Russell had vocal issues that night. Met Badlands that night. I like how is says exact set list not found for Great White BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT THERE! Jake was busy with some chick, but the rest of the guys were awesome. Tesla / Great White / Badlands Oct 04, 2026
Chris Walton It was actually May 10, 1989 at the Morrison Center, not August 10. There is also a listing saying he played the Boise State Pavilion May 10, but he didn’t. Just May 10 at the Velma V. Morrison Center. The set list is correct. The opening group was Roy Rogers and the Delta Rhythm Kings, who were fantastic. Stevie Ray Vaughan Oct 04, 2026
SuddenFall This show was cancelled and never happened. One of the bands, I believe it was Type O Negative, had problems getting over the Canadian border and didn't make it on time. There was a rumor that Biohazard, also on the bill, played a private party somewhere in town that night but I never found out of that actually happened. The Exploited Oct 04, 2026

Fraser Allen I went back to the hotel for a rest and then, at 4:30, watched Spurs lose 1-0 to Everton in what ended up being pretty much 38 games of pre-season behind closed doors. That season was totally irrelevant, as it was without fans. Anyway, I digress. I then strolled up for the final session of Tom Kerridge and was again warmly greeted by the staff, who informed me that a hen do occupied the next spot to mine, with about eight ladies asking if they could also use my spot. Again, it was like being normal. After a good start from Katie Kittermaster, it was the turn of Gabrielle, who was unwell but still performed brilliantly, playing all her songs. By then, the hen do was in full flow, especially when 'Rise' was performed. Gabrielle then apologised for the supposedly sub-standard performance before finishing with 'Dreams'. During the break, I was informed by one of the hen party that Mrs Astley, Rick's wife, was wandering around, so I had the pleasure of speaking to her. Thankfully, my phone stayed in one piece. She ended up having her spot in the same row as me. Then came Rick Astley and his band, who, needless to say, played a rip-roaring set, with his newer songs interspersed with his older, more familiar songs. In traditional Rick fashion, he normally adds a cover version to his set, which this time was a cover of Calvin Harris and Rag'n'Bone Man's 'Giant'. Before the inevitable 'Never Gonna Give You Up', Mr Astley gave an impassioned speech about how unfair it was that his band and brilliant backing singers had not been financially supported over the previous six months, and about how unfair the government had been. He received a standing ovation from the fans. There was a lot that was unfair, but that's another story for a different platform. Anyway, the evening ended on a great note, but there was an element of predictability in thinking that the near-normality we had all witnessed was just a false dawn. How right we were. As I was about to go home, I bumped into one of the staff from the weekend, who was semi-retired and was going to help clear up the venue. He commented on the financial hardship he had faced, as he normally worked at music festivals, which had been non-existent that summer. I wished him well and then went home. A lot of people were no doubt in worse predicaments than myself. However, in the next few months, situations arose that became life-changing. But, to focus on the positives, this was a welcome escape for myself and the hundreds of others over the weekend. Gabrielle / Rick Astley / Katie Kittermaster Oct 03, 2026

Fraser Allen After a wonderful Saturday night, Sunday began with a near-normal breakfast at the Novotel Hotel, followed by a walk around the grounds of Knebworth House. After heading back to my room for a rest, I made the gentle stroll over for the afternoon's entertainment. It was great to see the staff again, and I was soon settled into my designated spot at the front with the drinks in tow. Under beautiful blue skies, Craig Charles got proceedings underway with a DJ set built around soul but featuring a little bit of everything, including a superb remix of Primal Scream's 'Loaded'. Following a short break, Toploader took to the stage. Their set mixed songs from their excellent debut album with brilliant covers of 'Mr Blue Sky' and 'The Whole of the Moon', before the inevitable finale of 'Dancing in the Moonlight'. There was something wonderfully strange about dancing to it in glorious sunshine. Next came an appearance from Tom Kerridge before Scouting for Girls took to the stage. As with Kaiser Chiefs the night before, the band clearly relished the opportunity to be performing again, even if playing to rows of vehicles as well as people occasionally seemed frustrating. Roy Stride was obviously enjoying himself, though, and the band delivered an upbeat greatest-hits set, appropriately finishing with 'She's So Lovely'. During their performance, one of the ladies we'd met the previous evening messaged to say that they were all suffering from hangovers and would therefore be joining us for the evening session instead. And, as it turned out, that evening session proved very entertaining indeed... Toploader / Craig Charles (DJ Set) / Scouting for Girls Oct 03, 2026

MELTWATER is a music piece that uses the amazing diversity of sound created by ice sheets turning back into water; running streams, crashing ice and rain combine with evocative Indian vocals and instrumentation to create an impactful performance. MELTWATER is framed by a backdrop of melting glaciers, filmed by Richard Sidey. The performance is the culmination of Manasamitra’s ‘Terrarium’ project, which worked with local communities in the UK, India, Indonesia and Portugal to elicit personal narratives of the impact of flood and drought.  Dan Rodgerson After more than 50 years, Air Supply still knows exactly what its audience came to hear. The show mixed decades of familiar hits with improved visuals, new musical touches and the unmistakable voice of Russell Hitchcock. I also look at how the band has evolved, what still works remarkably well, and one premium concert experience I could probably do without.
